Tips and Tricks - How to Not Get Sick When Smoking Cigars

4th Apr 2022

Hi, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardos. I'm Gerard. This week, we're going to go over some tips and tricks on how to not get sick when smoking a cigar. But before I get going, I need you to click on the subscribe button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Mondays with Mardos.

All right. As promised, we're going to go over some tips and tricks. One of the biggest tips that I can give to you guys, make sure you have some food in your stomach prior to smoking a cigar. Reason being is if you smoke a cigar on empty stomach, it could absorb the entire amount of nicotine within that cigar, and that's what it's going to get you nauseous. It's going to get you sick. All right. So another tip is that if the cigar you're smoking is going out, don't over puff it to keep the cherry lit because that's going to get you sick as well. Slow down. Relight the cigar with your lighter. And let this be an experience. Maybe your humidor is over humidified and your cigars are suffering from that. So therefore, that's going to be a tip you really want to take a close look at.

All right. So now I'm going to share with you guys a couple tricks. Trick number one, even if you're a veteran smoker, if you're trying cigar for the first time, don't over retrohale the cigar. Give it a couple puffs. Slow down. That can get you very sick if you over retrohale, and you don't know how strong this cigar is. There's always going to be more cigars within that box. So slow down, enjoy your cigar, and just puff it little by little.

All right. So the last trick I want to share with you guys is having some sugar on board. And what the heck am I talking about? Anytime that you're feeling nauseous, it is a very well known practice that you should put some sugar in your system. Just like alcohol, nicotine sears the sugar out of your bloodstream, therefore dropping your blood sugar. The way you can do that is by grabbing a bottle of soda, orange juice, any kind of soft drink that's going to have a good amount of sugar within it. Also, a lot of people do carry some hard candy in their pocket, knowing that in case they get nauseous of a new cigar they are trying out, they can have that afterwards. Now, you're not going to feel immediate relief, but it sure is going to help the process. Other than that, I will see you guys next week, but let me know in the comments, what you think of this video.
