Cigar Guide - Top Boutique Cigars of 2021

20th Sep 2021

Hi, and welcome to another episode of Monday's With Mardo's. I am Gerard, and this week we're going to discuss the boutique brands of 2021. But before I get going, I need you to click on that subscribe button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Monday's With Mardo's.

All right. So we have picked out eight cigars here for this sampler. It's actually going to be available for you guys to purchase if you want. So please stay tuned, so we can tell you at the end of the video what the product number is. There is no ranking in order whatsoever. We're just going to go through every single brand and talk to you guys a little bit about it as to why they made our list of boutique cigars of 2021.

All right. So first up, we're going to talk about Cavalier. Even though he had a bunch of challenges, and when I say he, I'm talking about Sebastien Decoppet during the year of 2020, with COVID, putting things really into a difficult situation with the factory, this guy stayed on schedule. Not only did he make sure that the 2021 limited editions and the 2020s of the last year were still on schedule. He even came out with a new brand called the Viso Jalapa. For this sampler, we're including the limited edition, so you guys can see the flagship of his craftsmanship. This is the limited edition 2021 from Cavalier. Still doing what needs to be done in the boutique side of the industry.

All right. Next up, definitely this is a hot-selling cigar from Noel Rojas. His newest project is the Street Taco. Look for it in three different sizes, toro, corona gorda, and robusto. This Street Taco, man, is selling every single time we bring it in.

Next is my beautiful creation, Jake Wyatt Lithium, available in belicoso, toro, robusto and corona. The Jake Wyatt is designed exactly for retrohale, lots of fruits, spice, and fig and creaminess. I love the Jake Wyatt Lithium.

Sinistro made a new cigar called The Last Barbarian. This is a pre-release in a toro robusto at the moment as it is available. Connecticut broadleaf, very toothy wrapper. It's just wonderful. Definitely look for it. I'm very excited that Sinistro keeps bringing out some new stuff.

All right. So Casdagli took the Daughter of the Wind Robusto blend. They discontinued it, but they took the blend, as I already mentioned, and it puts a little bit of a Pelo d'Oro from Peru. And this cigar is now called a Villa Casdagli, and they have numerous sizes of it. So this sample will be available.

Next, Patoro has been around for a while, but now coming on the brink of making some headways into the US soil. Patoro comes from generations of the guys that started Davidoff. I think it's the grandson of one of the pioneers that started the Davidoff brand. Now I think he's working closely with the Kelner family in the Dominican Republic. Very, very good cigar. I love it. Very nice band. Look for Patoro.

Nova Leonor is a wonderful lady out of Uruguay. She's making her cigars out of the Dominican Republic. These cigars are mild to medium, but the flavors are superb. Very, very good cigar. A little bit pricey, but very well worth the money. Again, Nova Platinum, definitely give it a good try.

Lorenzo coming out with Hotcakes. This is Grand Canon. It's a 60 ring-gauge. HVC, really cool name, stands for Havana City because Lorenzo is of Cuban descent, making his cigars out of Aganorsa, which is one of my favorite factories out of Nicaragua.

So this sampler, product number is going to be 5567, 5567 on mardocigars.com. We have all these eight cigars as the boutique 2021. Let us know in the comments what you think of this arrangement. Other than that, I want to hear what you think should have been in the sampler. And if it's something we don't carry, maybe we'll take a look at it. But anyways, I'll see you guys next week.
