Welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardo's. I'm Gerard and today we're going to discuss a lighter we brought to mardocigars.com. So today we're going to go over this new torch lighter that we are carrying at mardocigars.com. One of the biggest attraction about it is the price point, $8.99. So they have five different colors and we have every single variation, in the clear, the black, the blue, the green, and the red. Now, not only is it obvious that the tank is pretty large, so therefore it's going to hold a lot of butane, is that they're somewhere all see-through so you can see the level of butane that is left if it gets too low and it's not working. Another thing I like is the dial at the bottom so you can select the flame height. It's kind of cool. You don't have to reach for a tool, that could be sometimes annoying.

One thing I didn't like is that it's a two-action lighter, meaning that you have to flick open the top and then click it for it to light. There are some lighters on the market, as soon as you click it, it flips for you. That's okay. That's not a big deal. Muscle memory always takes over. We always are used to doing that. So this is a triple flame lighter and it's obviously a torch and this is called the Palio Vesuvio. I got the name right so I'm getting a thumbs up behind the camera that I said the name right. So again, $8.99. It feels very well in my hand. It's not very heavy considering how big the tank is.

One thing I do want to emphasize is we like to use the XIKAR High Performance butane, and that's what we used here because of the cleanliness of the gas, and therefore it always performance right. One thing I do recommend, you always want to bleed your lighter of all the pressure that remains after filling it up. So if it's empty and you need to refill your lighter, definitely bleed it out by pressing the valve at the bottom, all that pressure would be released. It takes a few seconds and then go ahead and fill up so therefore you can make sure that the lighter will last as long as it can last.
