Cigar Guide - Hottest Nicaraguan Cigar Factories of 2020
7th Dec 2020
Hi, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardo's. I'm Gerard. And in today's episode, we're going to do a little discussion about one of the hottest cigar factories in Nicaragua. But before I get going, I need you to click on that subscribe button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Mondays with Mardo's.
Nicaragua has become a hotbed of cigar production, making some amazing cigars where lots of new brands come out with some fantastic flavored stuff. The region of Esteli, Condega, Jalapa Valley, and Omatepe is a perfect climate, especially when it comes to the Valley, given that area, very rich soil, growing some fantastic tobaccos.
This video is by no means rating any of the factories I may be mentioning right now, but the one I want to touch on is Casa Fernandez, also known as Aganorsa Leaf.
In 1998, the owner, Eduardo Fernandez, went to Nicaragua with a dream. He started producing tobacco, rolling his own cigars. And today, this brand gets a lot of great ratings. What put them on the map is the brand called Guardian of the Farm.
The Apollo is one of my favorite sizes. I smoke that cigar all the time. As of recently, they came up with the Night Watch, which is also Corojo wrapper, but it's become fermented to become a Maduro, so that's their newest addition to their portfolio.
However, it's been another brand that comes to my attention that's been on back order for six months and we just got our hands on it, is their Signature Selection. It is also offered in a Corojo Maduro and regular Corojo. So, if you want to check them out, I definitely, definitely recommend you go to mardocigars.com. We do have them in singles and five packs and some boxes left.
I do believe in March, we're going to see another four of them, but take a look at Aganorsa Leaf. Fantastic company. That is the name of the brand and the cigar. The factory is called TABSA, and the company that they use to grow the tobacco is called Casa Fernandez.
Anyways, take a look at Casa Fernandez, Google them, get yourself familiarized with their history. Other than that, let me know in comments what you know about Aganorsa, and I'll see you next week about another factory we're going to talk about coming out in Nicaragua.
