Cigar Guide –Boutique Cigar Brand Series Episode 4

31st Aug 2020

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardo's. I'm Gerard, and this week we are wrapping up our series of boutique brands you must try. But before I get going, I need you to click on that subscribe button. Also click on the bell to be notified every single week over new episodes of Mondays with Mardo's.

Before we get going, I want to say thank you for watching every single episode of boutique brands you must try. This week, we're going to get into our last episode, and we're going to kick it off with Cavalier Genève W hite label. This is a cigar that's made in Honduras. It's 5 1/2 X 56 ring gauge. Owner Sébastien Decoppet is very well involved in the blend. The factory is called San Judas Tadeo. I don't know what the Tadeo, means but San Judas means St. Jude. They also make the very popular brand called Maya Selva, which is very popular in Europe. But back to this cigar, this has a Habano wrapper. The blends, after a little bit of information searching, it's very interesting because it has Nicaraguan, Dominican, and some tobacco from Paraguay. I was not expecting that.

But what makes this cigar stand out more than anything else is the gold stamp right in the middle of the cigar. That is stuff that you can smoke. It's pretty interesting. It definitely catches the eye. It's a very good cigar. I would say this is a medium-bodied cigar, price range between $9 to $10. We do have it on mardocigars.com. It's going to give hints of woodsiness, some creaminess, very nice cigar with a little bit of sweetness there as well. I love retrohaling this cigar. I think they're doing a very good job. They also have the black label, but as a boutique cigar on the brink of newer things that's going on, I think Cavalier Genève is doing a very, very good job.

I want to hear in the comments what your opinion is of this cigar. I rate it pretty up there. It's one of my top 25s. I love the cigar. And that's going to basically wrap it up for our episodes of boutique cigar brands you must try. I'm Gerard. I'm going to see you next week, but before I go, I need you to follow us on Instagram, like us on Facebook, and remember to subscribe to our channel. See you guys.
