Cigar Guide - 2021 Boutique Cigars You Need to Try

28th Jun 2021

Hi. Welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardo's. I'm Gerard, and this week, we have some boutique cigars that deserve the spotlight for the year of 2021. But before I get going, I do need you to click on that subscribe button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Mondays with Mardo.

All right. So, these five brands that we have selected deserve a little bit of lip service and I'm going to tell you guys why, one by one. First up, we have the Jake Wyatt Lithium. Jake Wyatt is a cigar company started out in the year of 2020. And it is something that we create in our own factory in Tamboril, which is out of the Dominican Republic. For the year of 2021, we have a new cigar called the Lithium. This is a Habano Rosado wrapper, and it has a Corojo binder in many other fields that are just very, very delicious. And this would debut at the PCA 2021 Trade Show. And we'll have a full lineup of Robusto, Toro, Belicoso, and also a Corona. But right now, you can get your hands on these as a pre-release, the six by 50, they come in a bundle of 10 and you can find them throughout dealers across the United States. So, look for Jake Wyatt, as a boutique cigar company, and for year 2021, come out with something new.

Next, we have J. London. J. London, Jonathan Fiant, is the owner of this company. This is called the Gold Series. They have them in numerous different sizes, Lonsdale and lancero, Toro, Robusto and even have the Belicoso. Jonathan Fiant is a exquisite individual. I don't know if that's a very good adjective, but the guy's a lot of fun. I love the way he carries himself. And these are made out of the Dominican Republic as well out of the William Ventura factory. So look for this cigar. Beautiful Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, and definitely, definitely a boutique company because they only make 750 boxes of each size per year. So that definitely gives you that boutique edge.

Next Dapper cigars came out with a Desvalido. The Desvalido is made in Nicaragua, majority of all Dapper cigars are made in Nicaragua. And they select tobaccos from the Oliva family. Now that's different from Oliva cigars. The Oliva family, gosh, how do I even say it? They are basically like royalty when it comes to having tobaccos and good tobacco and Ian Reith, the company of Dapper, has a very good relationship with them. So he gets very good select tobacco, making a Desvalido a brand new item on their portfolio. And I think it deserves a definite spotlight. So that's why we chose that.

Next up, as we all know, Ezra Zion continues to do what he does on the cutting edge of boutique cigars. This is the Exotica, which is the espresso line. My God, this guy, he has his own website. Ezra Zion. And you can get basically anything he puts out is going to be sold out. So if you don't get your hands on that mouse or on that keyboard of your computer, it's going to sell out if you really take too long to think about it. So look for Ezra Zion. Definitely boutique from the get-go.

Last but not least El Septimo has been making a pretty strong foothold within the industry. This is King Sargon, which is the part of the Gilgamesh brand or the Gilgamesh lineup, I should say. And these are all made in Costa Rica. Something that our industry is definitely starving for. Cigars from other regions that we are not very familiar with, or we don't really have a lot of it in our industry. So El Septimo coming in strong as another boutique brand. Everything made out of Costa Rica.

Anyways, let me know what you think of this video in the comments. If you have anything you'd like us to add as a lineup for the 2021 boutique cigar, please let us know. Other than that, I'll see you guys next week, but remember to follow us on Instagram, like us on Facebook and remember to tell your friends to subscribe to our YouTube channel. See you guys.
