Hi. And welcome to another episode of Monday's With Mardo's. I'm Gerard. And this week, we're going to talk about Cigar and Guns - The Perfect Pairing with a Good Cigar. All right. So you might be asking yourself, or I usually ask myself, how can you pair guns and cigars together? Obviously you can't drink a gun. You can't eat a gun. It's not an edible. It's not a spirit. But there is something about cigars and guns go together. And what it is, ladies and gentlemen, it is the culture. The culture mixes very well. Majority of people that like to shoot guns also like smoking cigars. Now, how can we pair them together? Well, for the purpose of this video, what I'm about to show you has been checked, double checked for safety of this video and the people around me.

Now, when it comes to cleaning my personal gun, which I have here, is I like to light up a cigar. It's a great time for me to relax, to make sure I'm doing my job with some fun in it. And therefore, for the sake of this video, we're just going to go ahead and use my semi-automatic .380 as a prop. So go ahead and check it. It is empty magazine. And release it. Check a couple more times. Look at you guys. Another set of eyes, fresh eyes. And therefore it is unloaded.

So when it comes to cleaning this gun, I take it apart. And whenever I do, I'm going to be using solvent and oil. And this is the tricky part is I make sure that I have some kind of rag, so therefore I can wipe my fingers before I handle my cigar because I don't want the oils on my fingers tarnish my cigar. And what I usually try to do is I usually try to use the band as a way of holding my cigar. And therefore, that's going to be the biggest trick.

Now enjoy yourself. If you have multiple guns, you may go through more cigars. This is, I will admit, one of the best times to smoke a very complex cigar. Reason being is because my mind is focused on cleaning the gun more so on smoking the cigar. But what happens once I take a few puffs like so, and I put it down and I go back to my task, it's going to be a few minutes until I go back to the cigar. And what happens, it gives me more time to really replenish and cleanse my palate with my own saliva. So when I do this, I do find that more complex cigars are much more enjoyable when I'm cleaning my gun.
