Beginners Cigar Guide - Connecticut Cigars You Are Going to Love

15th Feb 2021

Hi, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardo. I'm Gerard. This week, we're going to talk about Connecticut cigars You are going to love. But before I get going on that, I need you to click on that subscribe button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Mondays with Mardo.

All right. So this week's sampler is going to have six cigars, but from three different regions. I'm super excited and they all have the Connecticut wrapper on them. It is valued over 60 bucks. However, to keep it simple, we just rounded it to $60 so therefore it gives you a free shipping as well. So you can go to mardocigars.com and typing in the search bar, Connecticut cigars you're going to love.

All right. So first up, we're going to talk about a cigar that is new to mardocigars.com and this is Don Juan Calaveras out of Honduras. It does have a Connecticut wrapper. The tissue paper is obviously just for packaging, it looks really nice and made out of the factory called Danli. It's very new to us, so we definitely want you to try it. It is the modest out of the every single one that I have tried here.

The next one we're going to talk about is the Jake Wyatt Appendix II, the Belicoso, with a 52 ring gauge coming out of the Dominican Republic. On Belicoso, you just want to make sure that you give it a good guillotine cut. This cigar has a lot of flavor for being a Connecticut and a mild cigar. I love this thing.

All right. So another coming out of the Dominican Republic is the Last Cowboy Connecticut. One of the biggest things that stands out in a cigar is the foot has a little strip of Candela. This is made out of the La Aurora factory in Dominican Republic, which they've been making cigars forever. So yeah, definitely the Toro. This is a 6 by 54 ring gauge and it's included in the sampler.

So now we're going to move on to a different region. We've covered Honduras, we've covered Dominican Republic. Now we're going to go into Nicaragua, and in the heart of Esteli is RoMa Craft under the factory Nica Sueno. They make this intemperance with the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. It's a 5-inch by 56 ring gauge. A very good cigar. It is bound by an Nicaraguan binder and also that fills are out in Nicaragua. So this is definitely a big hit within the sampler.

Another one that you guys are going to be very familiar with. Now, I wanted to mix it up. This is a Churchill sized cigar made by Drew Estate in Nicaragua is the Undercrown Shade. It is a Connecticut shade wrapper, obviously, all Nicaraguan with a Churchill in there. I think that's going to make it pretty exciting sampler.

Last but not least, also coming out of Nicaragua. This guy that owns this company, Nick Melillo, actually used to work for Drew Estate, and this is the Rolls Royce of his entire lineup is what he likes to call it. This is Highclere Castle, and this is made out of Nicaragua as well with a Connecticut wrapper, fantastic cigar. This actually is the most expensive cigar out of this whole entire sampler and coming out at $14 for Robusto.

But like I said, we made this six pack sampler for you guys at 60 bucks. I think he's a very, very well-rounded sampler. Let me know in the comments what is your favorite Connecticut cigar. I'll see you guys next week, but remember to follow us on Instagram, like us on Facebook and I'll see you guys and your friends. Tell them to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Next week. Bye-bye
