Hi, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardos. I'm Gerard. And this week, we're going to talk about a tip on how to relight your cigar. But before I get going, I need you to click on that subscribe button and click on the bell to be notified every single week of new episodes on Mondays with Mardos.

All right. So one of the tips that I'm going to be sharing with you guys today is on how to relight your cigar when it goes out. When does a cigar go out? Well, if you're in a lounge and you're having a conversation with someone, sometimes the conversation gets so long you forget to take a puff of your cigar. Or if you get an important phone call and you got to step outside to take a call that's very important to you because it has to do with some business matter or any other reasons. So a lot of people do ask me, how do I relight a cigar that goes out? There are two ways you can do this. Basically, if you have a cigar like this that went out, you can just clean off the ash by just rolling the cigar. Don't smash it. That's very, very key because you don't want to damage the foot of the cigar.

What I'm going to do... What I like to do is usually first thing's first is as I blow through the cigar, make sure if there's any smoke in there... I'm not sure if you guys saw that in the camera. All the smoke comes out from the foot. So once I do that, I make sure all that still smoke is removed because I don't want that initial first puff to be nasty. And it kind of lingers on your tongue and it lasts for a while and it can tarnish the flavor of the rest of your smoke. So I'm going to do that again. Wow. Quite a bit is coming out of there. So actually I just reignited the cherry. This thing was going out.

And another thing you can do is you can simply cut the foot of the cigar by just putting a cutter in here. And make sure this is your own cutter because you don't want the hot ashes to ruin the shots. Cutter. And what you want to do is you want to toast the foot all over again, just like as if it's a brand new cigar. Now, if you don't cut the foot of this cigar, you would roll the ash. You'd blow out the excess smoke that's been trapped inside the cigar to get that stale flavor out of there. And you would just toast the foot as I'm doing right here right now. If you do cut the foot, you're going to get a bit of a cleaner burn on your relit cigar. And voila.

Just like that. A quick and down dirty video. Let me hear in the comments, what you do to relight your cigar. Other than that, I'll see you guys next week. But remember, follow us on Instagram, like us on Facebook. And remember to tell your friends to subscribe to our YouTube channel. See you guys.
