... roll up that Ziploc bag, take that cigar, put it in a second Ziploc bag.

Hi, and welcome to another episode of Mondays with Mardos. I'm Gerard, and this week we are going to talk how to keep your cigars fresh without a humidor. That's pretty cool actually. But before I get going, I need you to click on subscribe the button, click on the bell to be notified every single week of great episode on Mondays with Mardos, or topics, whatever. You know what I'm saying?

All right, so we're going to get right into it. How to keep your cigars fresh without a humidor. Let's just say you are out and about. You don't have your cigar case with you. You don't have anything with you, and somebody offers you a cigar. Maybe you're at a wedding or a vacation or somewhere and you just want to preserve that cigar because maybe it's a very special cigar and you can't always get them, and you don't want to smoke it right away. You want to wait for that special moment.

One of the things that you can do is go to a store, get a Ziploc bag, and put a Boveda in it. Well, the point of this video is that you don't have access to a Boveda. You don't have access to humidor. So, what the heck can you do? One of the best things you can definitely do is go to any store. You can definitely buy a box of Ziploc bags. A whole container is only going to be a dollar or $2. Literally, if you go to a Dollar Tree store or 99 Cents store, a whole pack of them is about a buck 78. You can get that Ziploc bag and then you can put your cigar in it, and when you put the cigar in it, give it a couple rolls of flips, because the next section, what you're going to do is you're going to go get a paper towel. You're going to dampen that paper towel as best you can and squeeze out a lot of the water and throw that within a Ziploc bag, and then voila, you have something humid.

Now, if you're too nervous to do that, because maybe the cigar did not come with a cellophane, even better idea, get the cigar, put it in a Ziploc bag, roll up that Ziploc bag, take that cigar, put it in a second Ziploc bag. Now put that wet damp paper towel inside the second Ziploc bag. So, now for sure, your cigar is going to be safe. It's not going to be touching anything that's wet, that's going to harm your cigars. So that will keep your cigar humid in the interim until you get to a humidor or you get to your house. You get the gist of what I'm saying.

Now, I'm going to go even further. Let's say you have a bunch of cigars. You don't want to invest in a humidor because you don't smoke enough cigars and you just want to preserve these five or 10 cigars that you're given as a gift. You can definitely go on Amazon, you can go on our website. We sell Boveda packs. And then Boveda packs come in bags also. And these bags are medium size, large in size, and then they can withstand the shelf life of about a year. And these things are anywhere between eight to $14. Really doesn't hurt the bank.

So, hopefully that helps you guys. But that's one of the tips and tricks that I can give you if you do not have a humidor and you are in desperate need of keeping that cigar humid so it doesn't go bad. Let me know in the comments if this was helpful. I will see you guys next week.
