2013 was an important year as it marked the launch of Davidoff Nicaragua, the first black band cigar for Davidoff. This year Davidoff celebrates his 10th Anniversary Cigar in Nicaragua by releasing a special limited edition cigar. Davidoff set out to explore, adventure and discover, this time aiming for new taste heights to rival the volcanic peaks of Nicaragua.

Made for everyone looking for a new and unique taste experience. This limited edition cigar is made from an amazing blend of tobaccos with combined astonishing 45 year aging period. Our blender introduces 9 year old Esteli tobacco into the blend for the first time in aged fillers, binders and wrappers. Still, they continued to pursue the extraordinary.

Not satisfied with the discovery of new Nicaraguan varieties, they aged the Esteli tobacco in rum barrels to give it more depth and identity. From a wide range to imagination and craft, this is the flavor journey they delivered. The palate opens with roasted nuts, turns to oak and finishes with a strong black coffee. Why this product?

1/3 The Gran Toro initially delights with complex flavours of nuts. Its Nicaraguan filler tobaccos add notes of fresh spice and leahter. Due to the tobaccos' remarkable age, a noticeable balance characterises the whole experience.

2/3 The spicier stimulation slowly fades as the cigarevolves towards more intense notes of oak wood, milk coffee and intriguing eucalyptus taste. During this development, the gran toro maintains its full body beautifully.

Final/3 As the cigars comes to its close, its intensity increases once again, and the previous milk coffee notes evolve into those of black coffee. Aromas of fresh herbs join the ever-present toasting flavours of this masterpiece.
