Cigar Guide – Best Cigars to Smoke in the Afternoon
Posted by Tyler Enos on 24th Feb 2020
What's up, everybody? This is Gerard, MardoCigars.com, and this is the Best Cigars to Smoke series. This is Part Two. We're going to talk about the best cigars to smoke in the afternoon, but before we get going, I need you to click on that Subscribe button. Click on the bell to be notified every single week of Mondays with Mardo's.
Okay, so we have chosen five cigars that we're going to talk about to smoke in the afternoon, because these cigars we believe are more medium strength in nicotine, so we don't want it to kick your butt, because it might be during your lunch break or you're doing chores around the house, or whatever it is you're doing. You still have a good portion of the day left to do whatever you need to do.
RoMa Craft Intemperance BA XXI Revenge
Number One on the list we're going to go with is the Intemperance, from RoMa Craft. And this, I have a little cheat sheet here for you guys, and this is the Revenge. Now this is a limited edition cigar from RoMa Craft, but we love it because of the size. It is box pressed, and there is a pretty good significant amount of these cigars still out there in circulation for you guys to get your hands on them. That BA stands for Brazilian Arapiraca, and that is the type of wrapper that is on the cigar. Now, this is all-Nicaraguan, and this is going to be one of the ones that we're going to choose as a medium strength cigar.
Sinistro Last Cowboy Natural Toro
All right, so next we'll go ahead and talk about this bad boy right here. It's called the Last Cowboy, and this is a Connecticut wrapper cigar made in the Dominican Republic under the La Aurora. Now this cigar is definitely created by the brand of Sinistro. Very, very flavorful Connecticut. This right here is actually the Toro size, and these retail at around $8-9, maybe even a little bit less, but I'm just going off the cuff. If you like Connecticut cigars, and you want a lot of flavor, I definitely recommend the Last Cowboy.
Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. - Fourth Dimension Toro
Number Three on our list is going to be a cigar by Jake Wyatt Cigar Company. This is called the Fourth Dimension. It is Toro, which is a 6-by-54, with a Habano Rosado wrapper. A significant difference in this regard, it has some artisanal accents on it. Lots of flavor, roasted almond, and the strength actually is mild to medium. Throughout the day, this is a phenomenal smoke. Lots of cream on this one is what stands out more than anything. This runs about $10-11 MSRP.
Warped Gran Reserva 1988
That is one, two, three. We're going to go to Number Four, and that's going to be the Warped Gran Reserva 1988. This actually was rated number three of The Top 25 Cigars, rated by Cigar Aficionado. This is made by Warped, as I already mentioned, so look for it. Again, Warped Gran Reserva 1988, number three Cigar of the Year.
Black Works Studio Killer Bee Yellow Jacket
Okay, so the Number Five cigar that we have chosen, and again, this is by no means by any order of rating. I just happened to grab what I grabbed, and I'm giving them numbers, but this is Killer Bee, also known and, known as, excuse me, Yellow Jacket by Black Label. This is a Connecticut wrapper, and made in Nicaragua. Beautiful looking stick. It only comes in one size. It's a Corona Gorda, and it has beautiful artesian accents on it, as well. I would definitely give this a higher medium nicotine level. Out of all these, I would say this one probably has the most nicotine, believe it or not.
That's the five cigars we have chosen as an afternoon stick. Please let us know, if you smoke any of these cigars, with what you think the flavors are, what you feel about them, in the comments. We'd love to hear from you guys.
