El Fin by Chico Rivas
Made for personal use. the Privada staff spent a full September weekend in 2021 with Dominican Master Blender Chico Rivas trying cigars, talking tobacco, sharing stories. Towards the end of Saturday evening, Chico pulled out a tiny little cigar that he explained he makes for himself…his customers in the Dominican Republic, who prefer a gentler smoking experience, find the tiny cigar to be too intense, you see. Blown away by how much flavor and body was packed into such a small package…and we loved it. Chico was happy to share the blend with Privada, and called it El Fin because it is the perfect cigar to end the night on…the cigar that can deliver satisfaction when nothing else seems to satisfy…we all know the feeling. These cigars have been aging for three years now and enjoying them ourselves (quite a lot). We realized that this winter would be a perfect opportunity to share El Fin with our clients because, in addition to being a perfect end-of-night cigar, it is also the perfect cold weather cigar: it smokes quick, stays lit easily, and packs enough of a punch to keep you warm. With no plan for El Fin when they commissioned the project with Chico... they just (Privada Staff) wanted them! This is what Privada does–they seek out and find the best cigars in the world, age them with Privada’s signature cooler method, and when the time is right, find an opportunity to share them with you.
