As presented topic for me to shed some light on it has happened to me before. As you're smoking your cigar, you'll notice a little bit of ooze coming out of the cigar. That's what we call tar. At least, that's what we label it.
So I did some research on the internet because I am no expert. I'm always learning. And from what I gathered, it could be a little bit of sap on the stem of the cigar leaf. Sometimes it happens, and it has a bad taste.
So one of the ways to avoid, for me in the past, I don't remember what I did. Maybe I have cut the cigar a shorter, but it's happened to me seldom.
Remember always to research
But what I did when researching on the internet is the advice to cut the cigar cap a little bit more and see if there's less tar there, and also let the cigar rest a little bit to cool down.
So, therefore, the tar cools down. And then relight it and then try your chances again. Now, if it continues, unfortunately, if you don't want to put up with that flavor in your mouth anymore, I can understand that. It is a natural product.
Even though they're two apples right next to each other, another apple from the same branch or the same stem, one can be sweeter than the other. One is better than the other. It is what it is, you guys. That stinks, so you'll have to discard this cigar.
What to do if it happends to you?
If your tobacconist is very generous, he may be able to exchange the cigar for you. If you are at my shop and my cigar lounge and that happened to you, if I like you, I'll exchange it. If I don't, I don't know. I would exchange a cigar for you guys.
It's not very enjoyable if it's a very expensive cigar. I'll have to take it up with the manufacturer. Most likely, they will always reimburse us. Let me know in the comments if you've had this happen. Most likely, one of you has had this. And let me know how you dealt with it. Other than that, I'll see you guys next week.
