Padron Family Reserve # 95 Maduro
The Padrón Family Reserve No. 95 are 4 3/4 inches long, with a plump 60 ring gauge. They are rolled in Nicaragua. Unlike most Padrón cigars, these are round, rather than box pressed. (All Padróns start off as round smokes, but most go through a pressing that squares them off.)
The No. 95 is named after Padrón founder José Orlando Padrón, who founded Padrón Cigars in Miami in 1964. He died in 2017 at the age of 91. In 2021, he would have been 95 years old. Today, his son Jorge runs the company.
Cigars in Padrón’s Family Reserve line are made with the company’s oldest tobaccos, and sell for high prices. This one was made in support of the PCA trade show, and is only available to those who attended in person and placed orders last year.
