The Y Panda Domino, a 6 x 52 toro that uses a modified blend from the original Y Panda blend, is on its way to cigar stores today.
The Domino uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, along with two binders—one a Brazilian Arapiraca and the other a Mexican San Andrés—while the filler is all-Nicaraguan. The regular production Y Panda line uses an Ecuadorian corojo 98 wrapper, a double binder of Brazilian Arapiraca and Ecuadorian Sumatra, and an all-Nicaraguan filler that includes viso from Jalapa and seco from Estelí.
Y Panda is the creation of Linxu “Panda” Yan, who worked with Luciano Meirelles to create a cigar line after he spent more than a year as an intern at Luciano Cigars. Yan now serves as a brand ambassador for the line.
