All right, so here I'm giving a sheet of paper on how to choose the best cigar. And actually I'm going to give you a tip for a beginner on how to choose your favorite or best cigar. Two tips I got for you. Number one, if you walk into a cigar shop, be very transparent. Ask the tobaconist or ask the employee, "Hey, I'm new. I'm a beginner, and I want you to point out a cigar for me." Most likely you're going to get a mild cigar.
Tip number two, if you're shopping online, the best way to know what is a mild cigar. Most websites, whenever they feature a product, there's a little scale that tells you the strength of the cigar, mild to full or medium to full or mild all the way through full. So I think I hit the nail on the head on that one. So that's the scale you'll look for. So if you're a beginner, look for mild cigars and it'll give you the brands that they believe are applicable under that segment.
Number two, the ring gauge of the cigar is going to make a big difference in the burn. And that means you don't want a cigar that's going to be very small ring gauge because it's going to burn a little hotter. It's going to be a bit of more of an intense draw, so therefore the smoke is going to be a little bit hotter. So if you're a mild cigar smoker and you're a beginner, if you go a little bit larger ring gauge, it's going to burn a little cooler. Now remember, anything 60 ring gauge up to 70 ring gauge is going to be very airy. It may feel a little diluted, so you may be wanting to have a little bit more flavor in your cigar. So if you stay anywhere between 52 to 54 ring gauge, it's going to burn a lot cooler for you. It's not going to turn you off. And therefore those are the two tips that I have for you to choose the best cigar, and that's for the beginners.
Anyways, I hope that was good enough for you guys. Let me know in the comments if you have any tips for new commenters, new beginners, new cigar smokers, whatever I'm trying to say.
