E.P. Carrillo has created a limited-production version of its Encore line featuring a darker wrapper and stronger blend called Encore Black. Produced in one size—the same dimensions as the 2018 Cigar of the Year, the E.P. Carrillo Encore Majestic
Made in the Dominican Republic at Casa Carrillo (formerly Tabacalera La Alianza), Encore Black is true to its name with a dark Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper. Inside is a Mexican San Andrés binder and a mix of Nicaraguan fillers grown in Condega, Estelí and Jalapa. The regular production Encore line is all-Nicaraguan and medium-bodied. E.P. Carrillo says that Encore Black is stronger, medium-to full-bodied.
