Rolled in 2024 and released in October 2026, this 6 x 52 Toro showcases Brazilian Bragança tobacco—a rare leaf harvested only once every three years from the remote Amazon rainforest and fermented in traditional rope-like "carottes." The blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a multinational filler of Brazilian Bragança, Colombian, and Dominican tobaccos. Medium to full in body, the cigar is finished with a distinctive twisted tobacco-leaf band in place of the traditional paper ring.

Why this product?

The Amazon Basin series has earned a loyal following for delivering something genuinely different, and the Extra Añejo takes that distinctive profile even further. Two additional years of rest allow the tobaccos to marry and integrate more completely, creating a refined and complex expression of the blend. Expect layers of earth, cocoa, coffee, fruit, cedar, and subtle white pepper—flavors that reflect both the unusual sourcing and the extended maturation process.

Because Bragança tobacco is produced in limited quantities and Amazon Basin releases traditionally generate considerable interest, this is a cigar worth considering when available rather than assuming it will remain in stock.

Who can buy this product?

This cigar is for adult premium cigar enthusiasts (21+) with experience—particularly those who already enjoy the original CAO Amazon Basin series, collect CAO releases, or seek out aged tobacco and limited-production blends. It's ideal for smokers who appreciate flavor profiles that stand apart from everyday releases and want something with genuine story and craft behind it. If you're drawn to unusual tobaccos, distinctive presentation, and cigars that reward patience, the Extra Añejo is worth your attention.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0802/2265/0582/files/cao_amazon_basin_extra_anejo_single_lat.jpg?v=1790960912
